Thanks to those of you who attended our meeting last night--it was good to see you again. By way of update to those of you who could not attend, this is what we are doing.
First, we have applied in conjunction with another Fightback in our association for graffiti cameras via the city. We are crossing our fingers that we will get that grant to help our fight against graffiti in our neighborhood.
We are also continuing to work on finishing our Fightback goals.
We are working with the city, the fire department, PCH and APS to accomplish some traffic mitigation that will help with the cut through traffic expected to result from the completion of PCH's new parking structure. We will need help getting petitions signed, so especially if you live near that part of the neighborhood, please plan to help.
We continue to meet with our Community Action Officers, they are planning a Valentine's Day transient sweep of the neighborhood, so if you know of any "hot spots" please email or call Manny and Julie with that information. APS and PCH--no updates at this time. Additionally, I failed to mention last night that it's time to start planning our GAIN event for next year in October, so if you are interested in working on that, please let me know.
The Coronado Neighborhood Association is doing a tree planting project in the easements, $15 per tree (choice of three kinds of trees). If you are interested in that, let me know and I can send you the information.
Important--the church that so graciously hosts our meetings is having a yard sale this Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the parking lot. They are accepting donations for the sale the morning of (beginning at 6:00 a.m.) the event. Please support this event as the church has been supportive of us.
Please let me know if you have any questions--also, we'd love to see you and a neighbor at our meetings. Second Monday of every month, 6:30 p.m. Next month's meeting is March 10th. See you there!
