I regret that I have been unable to attend the meetings on the Park. I am wondering if the issue of lighting, in particular consistence and perhaps Historic lighting, is being addressed in any of these meetings? Specifically as I presented in my open letter posted to this forum here: http://www.gcna.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=434 and a more visual description located http://www.coronadoneighborhood.com/Ratero_Reporter/Historic%20Coronado%20Park.html. There was also mentioned several times that the Steering Committee would be having some input meetings located at Coronado Park on a Saturday or Sunday to gather input from those who were not able to attend or did not know about the Park Meetings, were not online or connected electronically with the Community. Was this planned outreach preformed? There are a lot of Park users who appear not be having any input into this process, and may be disenfranchised from the final results. The Soccer teams and other small sport groups who use the park and currently provide the "eyes and ears" on the activity at the Park. It is important that Coronado Park remain a park that has activity and therefore will be a safe place to visit. The narrowing of the input that is being provided to the City Officials may result in a Park that could be not "used" by a element that will keep it safe.
