Coronado Park Improvement Meeting Minutes, July 3, 2009

Discussion of Previous June Steering Committee Meeting
Synopsis: Park survey – same results for both City and CNA survey. Based on these responses the City Park landscape designer, Tom Byrne, will create three separate “program” diagrams of the park. The Steering Committee will evaluate the three and narrow it down to one. A master plan will then be developed from the approved program.

There will be an assessment of the trees in the park to determine which ones are in good health.

Electrical poles will be installed to give power access in park for community events.

Unifying and updating the lighting fixtures was dicussed by the Steering Committee.

Old Business
The Shade competition sponsored by the Arts Commission should be decided soon. Coronado Park will make the case for a demonstration site if viable.
