Coronado Park Improvement Meeting Minutes, Nov. 5, 2009

Discussion of October Steering Committee Meeting
Synopsis: The Parks Dept presented their preliminary master plan to the Steering Committee. It will present the plan to the entire neighborhood at a January meeting to be held at 6:30 pm prior to the General CNA meeting. Announcements will be posted. It is expected the plan will be presented to the Parks Commission for approval in Feb, after neighbor’s comments can be reviewed.

The neighbors on the Steering Committee have requested some representation during the plan implementation phase.

The preliminary plan was presented as a site plan and a “virtual” tour of the park. There is heavy reliance on shade trees and jogging paths. Plans will be posted on –line as soon as available.

The Steering Committee has also requested a list of what can be accomplished with current bond funds as well as cost. A list of what cannot be accomplished (with costs) in phase I will then be used for grant/fund raising purposes.
