Graffiti in our neighborhood is on the upswing again as school is starting. The quicker graffiti is removed the less likely it is to reappear. To combat graffiti the City of Phoenix has the Graffiti Busters Hotline which will remove graffiti within 48 hours of your call. If you see graffiti in progress please dial 911. For removal dial 602-495-7014 or #GONE from your wireless phone. You can also e-mail them at http://www.graffiti.busters.nsd@phx.gov. Don't forget to download the permission slip (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader) and mail, fax or e-mail it to them so that they have permission to paint your property. The City also provides free paint and rollers etc. if you want to do the job yourself.
The back wall of my garage got hit on Wednesday night, along with three other walls in our alley. So I bought a gallon of paint to match and I'll keep it just for that purpose, so I can get rid of it immediately! And thank you to Debra Ryan, a wonderful real estate agent in our community, whose wall was also tagged, she had it covered in less than 24 hours.
