The Phoenix Public Transit Department needs volunteers to assist transit staff during the GRAND OPENING of METRO light rail on:

DATE: Saturday, December 27 & Sunday, December 28.
SHIFTS: Saturday shifts: 9:30 a.m. - 3:15 p.m. and
3:15 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Sunday shifts: 9:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. and
2 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

DUTIES: The duties will entail guiding the public onto bus shuttles.
Passengers will be getting on and off the train at various
platforms which will have on-going parties or events; because long
waits are anticipated to get back on the trains, the public will have
the option to ride a bus shuttle back to their starting point.
Volunteers will be assigned to a location in proximity to a transit staff member.
Training sessions are being planned for mid-December
