The Coronado, Avalon and Green Gables Neighborhood Associations invite neighbors to join our GAIN event on the afternoon of Saturday, October 15, 2011.

The GAIN Event is an annual event held to celebrate the dedicated residents and strong partnerships that continue to make our neighborhoods a safer, better place to live, work, and play. Please join us for an afternoon ¡Fiesta! with fun activities, food, information, games for kids and prizes!

The volunteers serving on the GAIN committee are organizing a ¡Fiesta! to celebrate our neighborhood. You are invited to join us to celebrate partnerships with local businesses and city departments that make our neighborhoods a safer, better place to live, work and play. In the past Coronado sponsored this event in its own, but now for the third year both the Avalon and Green Gables Neighborhood Associations have joined us in our planning and organizational meetings.

Participating Neighborhoods

Remember "Neighborhood Night Out" when those who lived nearby gathered together to meet one another and exchange information? Newcomers met long-time residents and shared interests to learn how to truly become a community. As a result of our climate, the August event was moved to October and renamed GAIN, Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods.

GAIN gives neighbors a chance to meet one another as well as informing us about community services and businesses available to us. With participation from the Police and Fire department staff, neighbors can communicate concerns on a one-to-one basis.

Last year's event brought out over 40 participants, nearly 20 sponsors who donated over $1,000 in prizes and over 500 attendees. This year we hope to expand on this ever-growing event to make 2011 our best year ever.

If your organization would like to participate or make a donation to this wonderful event, please contact us.
